The best part of being with somebody who is just as enthusiastic about life as you are is that everything you do together is an adventure. Grocery shopping, laundry, walking down to the coffee shop, even just waking up in the morning. I’m so grateful for everyday we get together.

Through all the bullshit lately I think I’ve kinda figured out what I want and what I want to be doing.  I think it can all be boiled down to simplicity. I need to be steering my life in the direction making things as simple as possible. I want to learn how to grow things and how to make things happen. I want to love simply and simply be. I’ve learned that that starts from inside. And it requires focus. Focus on me and focus on what I want and focus on the steps to get there.

I’m literally never going to shut up about this. ever.

When I was little, probably about 8 or 9, I remember the Bonnie Rait album this is from was one of the few cassette tapes my mother had in her car. I remember having it in my walkman on long car trips and listening to it until i fell asleep, lulled by her beautiful voice and the car’s engine humming down the highway. As I grew older and found out what it was to be heart broken this song gained new meaning. I love the honesty and immediacy he brings to the song. Those opening notes still gives me chills, make my chest harden and soften at the same time, brings up a lot of old sense memories I try very hard to forget…
